Tales of the Wizard Lyr: The Sorcerer and the Prince-Lover

A non-wizard named Phelim set out on a long journey to the kingdom of Waldshire, hoping to change his fate. His heart was burning with the desire to ask for the hand of the young and selective Princess Astora, who dreamed of marrying only someone willing to give up wealth and name for her.

Along with Felim went his childhood friend, Ruery, who was a true master at creating amazing stories. They moved at night, trying to be stealthy and cautious.

One late afternoon, they heard mysterious sounds that caught their attention. As they cautiously approached, they noticed a wizard waving his wand and gathering dry sticks around him as if by magic. When he had gathered the right amount, the wizard waved his wand and suddenly started a fire.

Phelim and Ruery were shocked by what they saw. They had heard many stories about wizards, witches, spells, and enchanted princesses, but they had never imagined that they could see magic with their own eyes.

Phelim decided not to miss the opportunity and decided to steal the wand from the sleeping wizard, as well as his horse. Together with Ruery, they waited until nightfall and cautiously crept up to the sleeping wizard. Without difficulty they were able to get their hands on the coveted item, but to their disappointment, the magic didn't work when using the wand. Phelim started waving his wand desperately, but there was no result.

Then Phelim drew his dagger, woke the wizard and threatened him with death, demanding that he teach him how to do magic.

The stranger, who introduced himself as Kif, explained that the magic wand obeyed only a person with magic blood. In exchange for his life, the wizard promised to grant Felim three wishes of any complexity.
